Obituary of Mary Lou Williams Ford 
as written in "The Albany Herald" dated 5 Jan 2002.  


Mary W. Ford, 80, of 3403 Forrest Ridge Drive died Thursday, January 3, 
2002, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.  The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. 
today at Byne Memorial Baptist Church with interment in Floral Memory Gardens. Dr. 
C. Michael Gravette and the Rev. Donald Cole officiating.  A native of Colquitt County, 
GA, Mrs. Ford had lived in Albany for the past 64 years, was a member of Byne 
Memorial Baptist Church, the JOY Sunday School Class and the American Legion 
Auxiliary.  Survivors include her husband, James O. Ford of Albany; two sons, Troy 
Dean Ford and his wife, Delores of Island Pond, Kenneth D. Ford and his wife, Sue of 
Albany; two sisters, Ruby W. Southwell and Louise W. McDaniel, both of Albany; six 
grandchildren, Traci Ford Howell of St. Augustine, Fla., Jennifer Ford of Yorktown, VA, 
Chris Ford of Blacksburg, VA, Jason Ford of Albany, Stacey Bannister of Albany and 
Kelli Davis of Albany and four great-grandchildren, Marcus Ford, Brandon E. Howell, 
Kyle Bannister and Brandon Davis.
