Obituary of Robert Lee Pitts III
as written in "The Albany Herald" dated 1 Nov 1999.
The Albany Herald,
Albany, Georgia.
Robert L. Pitts, 63, of 826 2nd Ave., died
Sunday at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in
Crown Hill Cemetery. The Rev. William A. Suggs will officiate. A native of Albany,
Mr. Pitts was retired from the Post Office and from the National Guard. He was a
member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church, American Legion Post No. 30, Moose Lodge
and Elks Lodge. Survivors include his wife,Jo Ann Pitts of Albany;a son,Victor L.Pitts
of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Kathy Green of Leesburg and Kelli Jo Fincher of
Albany; three brothers, Rodney Pitts of Lake Blackshear, Ray Pitts of Leesburg and
Richard Pitts of Albany; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be 7-8 p.m.today at
Kimbrell-Stern.
