  Karia Gleaton

  Karia Gleaton, 65, of Albany died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at her son's home following an
  extended illness.

  Her funeral service will be Tuesday, 10 a.m. at Kimbrell-Stern with interment to follow at
  Crown Hill Cemetery. Andy Goode will officiate.

  A native of Miller County, she had lived in Albany since 1956. She was a member of Palmyra
  Road United Methodist Church, Circle No.2, The United Methodist Women's Club, the
  United Sunday School Class and also participated in the Ladies Neighborhood Bible Study.
  She retired from MCLB (Marine Corps Logistic Base) in 1991

  Survivors include a son, Eddie Lee Gleaton III and his wife Diana, Albany; two daughters,
  Gina G. Drawhorn and her husband Tim of Land O'Lakes, Florida, Malinda G. Huntsman and
  her husband Jeff, O'Fallon, MO; two grandsons, Christopher Drawhorn and Brandon
  Drawhorn both of Land O'Lakes, Florida; a sister Margaret Griffin, Colquitt. She was
  predeceased by her husband Eddie Lee Gleaton, Jr. and a brother, Joe Sheffield.

  The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern Monday from 7 pm - 8:30 pm. Memorials may
  be sent to American Diabetes Association or the Albany Community Hospice.

  (Karia Lee Sheffield Gleaton was the daughter of Samuel Grady and Mamie Glass Sheffield
  of Colquitt, Miller County, Georgia. She was born September 29, 1935.)
