Mr. J.A. Posey made a business trip to Columbus last Saturday.

Mr. John Moore visited relatives at Mt. Olive last Sunday.

Mr. John Jones, of Geneva, spent last Friday at the home of Mr. G.W. Posey.

Mrs. W.A. Walker returned home from Columbus last Friday where she had been for
several days with her mother, Mrs. W.H. Chalkley.  We are glad to note that Mrs.
Chalkley is up again.

Messrs. J.T. Harris, J.M. Taylor and S.M. Phillips attended court in Buena Vista
last week.

The Woodmen gave an ice cream supper at the hall last Saturday night, which was
largely attended from all parts of the county.

Mr. Charley Chalkley, of Columbus, visited relatives here Sunday.

Mr. Ed Stokes was in our village last Thursday.

Messrs. Hand and Brown, two saw mill men of Mt. Olive, were attending to
business here last Saturday.

Mr. Floyd Lawhorn was fishing on the pond last Wednesday.

We are having cool weather for May.

Mrs. R.B. Rayper and Misses Effie and Rena Weaver were in Juniper Wednesday of
last week.

Mr. Ed Spivey and several others from Talbotton were fishing here last week.

Messrs. G.W. Cook, J.O. Smith, A.L. Guy, C.M. Clements, Put Lowe, Will Jackson,
Mr. and Mrs. Lem Moore, all from Buena Vista, were fishing here last week.

Mr. Wilburn Belk, who has been guarding convicts for his uncle, Captain Posey,
is at home on the sick list this week.

Mr. J.A. Posey is on the sick list this week.

Mr. Dave Posey, of Columbus, was here Sunday.

Mr. Coachman Chalkley, of Columbus, was with relatives here Saturday and Sunday.

Rev. W. P. Allison filled his regular appointment at Box Springs Saturday and
preached at Juniper Sunday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Ode Harris, Messrs. Tom Harris and Pou Belk and Misses Helen Harris
and Elmer Belk spent Saturday in Columbus.

Mr. Perry Edge and the Misses Covington were fishing last Monday.

Mr. J.J. Weaver was in our village last Tuesday.

Miss Katy Lou Bullock, of Buena Vista, is visiting her sister, Mrs. G.W. Posey
here.

Mr. H.J. Parker, of Japanese, was shaking hands with friends here last Monday.

Dr. Brooks, of Geneva, was called to the bedside of Mrs. J.T. Harris last Thursday.

Mr. Will Gorman and family, of Atlanta, spent several days here fishing last week.

Mr. J.T. Harris was called from his saw mill last Friday by the sickness of his
wife.

Messrs. C.B. Lawrence and Arthur Hand were attending to business in Juniper this
week.

Quite a crowd attended the fish-fry at Lowe’s Lake last Saturday.  All report a
good time and plenty of fish.

Mrs. W.G. Odom was shopping in Columbus last Saturday.

Messrs. Willard, Joseph and little Frank Benson spent last Saturday night and
Sunday with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Benson, at Geneva.

Dr. Basden, of Box Springs, was here Saturday.

Rev. W.P. Allison, our tax receiver, made his round here last Monday.  Mr.
Allison has a host of friends in this district who are always glad to see him.

There will be a three days general meeting at Box Springs commencing on Friday
before the fifth Sunday.  Everybody invited.

Rev. S.T. Smith, of Geneva, filled his regular appointment here Sunday.

Messrs. Virgil, Jim and Bob Steed, of Talbot County, were here fishing this week.

Messrs. Douglas and Bell, of Talbotton were among the fishermen here this week.

Mrs. J.T. Harris, who has been quite sick for the past two weeks, is improving
very fast.

Mrs. E.J. Wendt, of Columbus, is visiting the family of Rev. Geo. T. Chandler.

Mrs. Mittie McKee, of Waverly Hall, who has been visiting Rev. T. Chandler and
family here, left this week to visit friends in Talbotton.

Dr. Black and Mr. Strivey, of Talbotton, were here fishing this week.

Mrs. J.A. Posey went up to Columbus to see her mother, who has been quite sick.

Mrs. Wm. Chalkley, of Columbus, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. J.A. Posey.

Misses Katilu Bullock and Myra Posey and Master Leon Posey went up to Columbus
Saturday.

Col. Frank Sibley, of Detroit, Michigan is here shaking hands with old friends.
 Col. Sibley left here four years ago.

village last Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Chalkley, of Columbus spent last week with relatives here.

Messrs. Ode and Frank Harris and families spent last Saturday night with their
father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Harris near Short’s Mill.

Mr. Jim Wyrick and son, Jerry, jade a business trip to Ring’s Mill Saturday.

Mr. J.E. Chalkley, of Mt. Olive, spent Wednesday night with Mr. W.A. Walker.

Quite a crowd from Juniper attended preaching at Box Springs and County Line
last Sunday.

Miss Sarah Bullock has returned to her home in Buena Vista.

Mr. H.J. Benson and son, Henry, of Geneva, are repairing the Juniper bridge.

Mr. Frank Harris now occupies his newly completed residence.

Miss Blanche Youngblood, of Mt. Olive, visited relatives at Junction City last
week.

Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Walker attended the general meeting at Box Springs last week.

Mr. W.J. Walker, of Chattahoochee County, spent a few hours with relatives here
last Thursday.

Mr. G.W. Posey made a business trip to Columbus last week.

Dr. Baisden, of Box Springs, was in Juniper Saturday.

Mr. W.A. Walker was tending to business in Box Springs last Friday.

Mr. Boswell, of Junction City, spent Sunday very pleasantly at the home of Mr.
E.L. Nelson.

Mr. John Brown of Mt. Olive was in our midst Monday.

Miss Willie Wyrick and brother, Jerry, spent last Sunday with friends near
King’s Mill.

Mr. W.A. Walker was called to the bedside of his sistser, Mrs. W.H. Weed, at
Short’s Mill Monday.

Mrs. W.H. Weed died at her home near Short’s Mill last Friday morning, and was
buried in the afternoon at 5:30 services conducted by Rev. W.P. Allison.  She is
survived by a husband and six children.  Mrs. Weed was forty-two years of age,
had a loving, Christian disposition and many friends.

Mr. John Coulter, of Junction City, visited his sister, Mrs. Rogers, last Sunday.

Miss Jewel Poole is quite ill with fever.

Miss Flora Basden, of Box Springs, is visiting Miss Ida Belle Reynolds this week.

Mr. Horace Poole visited a maiden fair at Opelika, Ala., last Sunday, and the
result was one of our young ladies remained at home all day with severe headache.

Prof. J.L. Taylor is improving some from the fever.

Master Anther Childs, of Columbus, is spending some time with his aunt, Mrs.
C.A. Rogers.

Quite a number of young people enjoyed a singing at the home of Mrs. R.H.
Reynolds Monday evening.

Messrs. C.B. Lawrence, Horace Poole and R.H. Reynolds attended the Sunday School
Convention in Columbus last week.

Rev. J.W. Elder, of Columbus, filled his regular appointment at our chapel
Sunday, and preached to a large and attentive congregation.

The singing club of which Mr. D.P. Brown is director, will meet in the afternoon
of every first and third Sunday.

Misses Aylmah and Sura Parker, Mattie Tyler, Blanche Youngblood and Effie Belle
Cook, accompanied by Messrs. Rufus Youngblood, Henry Harris, Otis Youngblood,
John Parker, Herbert Green and Horace Poole were the guests of Miss Jennie May
Reynolds last Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Browning, of Box Springs, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. C.B.
Lawrence.

Rev. Clynes, of Elebeck, will preach here on the first Sunday.

We had several fine rains this week.  The farmers are getting their mowers ready
for the hay crop, which is fine.

Our school opened last Monday, with 14 pupils present.  There are about 40
children around Juniper who should be in school.

Mr. Lon Simmons and family, of Columbus, is spending the week with Mr. and Mrs.
J.A. Posey.

Mr. Coach Chalkley, of Columbus, visited relatives here last Saturday and Sunday.

Mr. George Jones, of Cusseta, was in Juniper Friday.

Mr. David Bullock, of Buena Vista, spent Saturday with relatives here.

Messrs. W.A. Walker, P.A. Belk, Johnnie Brown and Joseph Benson made a business
trip to Columbus last Saturday.

Messrs. Willie Harbuck and Arthur Weed, of Pineknot, were shaking hands with
friends here last Saturday.

Rev. W.P. Allison filled his appointment here last Saturday and Sunday.

Mrs. P.A. Belk, who has been very low, is slowly improving.

Mr. Ralph Cannon, of Chattahoochee made a business call here last Friday night.

Messrs. Mack Moore and W.A. Walker attended preaching at Box Springs last Saturday.

Mr. W.C. Lawhorn was attending to business in Juniper Thursday.
