In the name of God Amen. I Robert A. Campbell being weak in body, but sound of mind 
and memory, conscious of my approaching dissolution, do make Ordain and declare my l
ast Will and Testament as follows, to wit,

I direct my body to be decently buried, having a good hope through grace that my soul 
will return in peace to God who gave it -

Item 2nd I direct all my just debts to be paid.

Item 3rd. I give and bequeath to my son Samuel a certain Bay horse, Saddle and 
bridle (common) having given my Son John a horse, Saddle and bridle which I consider to
be in full of his share of my estate -

Item 4th I give and bequeath to my Son Robert when he comes of age, a horse Saddle 
and bridle of the value of Forty dollars -

Item 5th I Will and direct that my beloved wife Thursey Campbell have and keep during 
her life or Widowhood - all the balance of my estate, both real and personal, together, 
with all my debts money and effects, for the use and benefit of my younger children, 
to wit, Martha Nancy, Rosanna, Elisabeth and Jasper, for their maintainance and
Education during their minority - And she is to have authority togive to each of the 
girls as they become of age a common Bed, bedstead and furniture - And at the death or 
marriage of my wife the property remaining to be divided among the five last named 
children, so as to make them all equal - And if she remains single and raises my young 
children until all are raised, said property to be divided when the youngest child is of 
age, equally between my wife and the last named five children so that all share equal -

Item 6th I hereby appoint my friends Minor W. Brown and Hubbard W. Cozart, and my son 
John Campbell Executors to this my last Will and Testament to carry the same into effect -

In Witness, whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 27th day of August 1848.

[An erasure made and the words or marriage, interdused before Robert B. Campbell (Seal)
being signed.]

by Robert B. Campbell as his last Will and testament in presence of the subscribers 
who subscribed the same as witnesses in presence of the testator and of each other this 
27th day of August 1848

In Open Court personally came Minor W. Brown Executor of the last Will and Testament 
of Robert B. Campbell late of said County deceased and produced in Court the Will of 
said deceased, and two of the Witnesses of said Will, to wit Andrew Nelson and E. M. 
Johnson which Witnesses being duly sworn depose and say that they saw Robert B. Campbell 
the testator, Sign Seal declare and publish the instrument now presented as his last 
Will and Testament freely voluntarily and of his own accord and without any compulsion 
or influence whatever, that at the time thereof said testator was of sound and disposing 
mind and memory, that deponents signed said will as witnesses in the presence of the 
testator and at his special insistance and request, and in the presence of each other, 
and saw Hillary L. Moore do the same.

I Minor W. Brown do solemnly swear that this writing contains the true last Will of 
the within named Robert B. Campbell deceased so far as I know or believe, and that I 
will well and truly execute the same by paying first the debts and then the legacies 
contained in the said Will, as far as his goods and chattels will thereunto extend and 
the law charge me, and that I will make a true and perfect inventory of all such goods 
and chattels - So help me God -
