William Charles “Bill” Wangen, 87, of Leesburg, died Wednesday, February 7, 
2007 at his home following an illness. His funeral service will be FRIDAY 3 PM 
at Kimbrell-Stern. The Rev. Dr. Donald M. Kea will officiate The Walter H. Burt 
American Legion Post 30 will provide military honors. The entombment will be 
private. A native of Owatonna, MN, Mr. Wangen had lived in Albany for many 
years. He was a founding member of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour. He was 
an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, and he was a member of the Turner 
Field Band. Mr. Wangen worked at Golden Glow Dairy, and then he retired from 
the Albany Coca Cola Bottling Co. He was a member of the Walter H. Burt 
American Legion Post 30 and the Albany Exchange Club. He was preceded in death 
by his first wife: Ann Thornton Wangen. Mr. Wangen is survived by his wife: 
Louise Nicholls Wangen, Leesburg, 2 daughters: Rebecca W. Kimsey, Albany, 
Virginia Youngblood, Lawrenceville, GA; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 
2 brothers: Ingbert Wangen and Lloyd Homuth, both of Owatonna, MN; many nieces 
and nephews. Those desiring may send memorials to the Lutheran Church of Our 
Saviour, 101 Hickory Grove Rd., Albany, GA 31763. 

The funeral service will be held at 3 PM Friday, February 9, 2007, at Kimbrell-
Stern Funeral Directors with entombment to follow in Crown Hill Mausoleum. The 
family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors from 7 PM until 
8:30 PM Thursday, February 8, 2007.
