Stephenson, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at her residence. Her funeral service will be Monday 11 AM at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church with interment in Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Finbarr Stanton officiating. Born in Eufaula, AL, Mrs. Stephenson had lived in Albany since 1936. She graduated Albany High School in 1947 were she was a majorette and a cheerleader. She attended Sullins College in Bristol, VA and was a former Ms. Southwest Georgia and Cotton Bowl Queen. Mrs. Stephenson was an active and faithful member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church and a former member of the Albany Charity League. Survivors include her sons, J. Scott Stephenson, Dawsonville, John M. Stephenson and his wife Nancy, Albany; grandchildren, Mark Stephenson and Will Stephenson, Albany, Sydney Stephenson and Kaylee Stephenson, Port Lavca, TX; sister in law, Pansy Hawk, Tampa, FL; aunt Marie Sellers, Columbus; special friends, Marywill Flanigan and Leola Butler. The family will receive friends Sunday 4 to 6 PM at Kimbrell-Stern and will be at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. John M. Stephenson, N.
