Michael Craig Steele

ALBANY — Michael Craig Steele, 33, of Nottingham Way, Albany, died Thursday, 
January 23, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

The funeral mass will be held Monday, January 27, 2003, at St. Teresa's 
Catholic Church with interment at Crown Hill Cemetery. Father Finbarr Stanton 
and Father Herbert Wellmeier will officiate.

A native of Pullman, WA, Craig had lived in Albany most of his life. He 
attended St. Teresa's Schools, was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church, 
graduated from Albany High School in 1989, and also from Darton College. He was 
a corporal and school resource officer with the City of Leesburg Police 
Department where he had worked for the past five years.

Survivors include his parents, Jack and Carolyn Steele of Albany; a sister, 
Rebecca Long of Albany; a brother, Jeff Steele of Albany; a grandmother, 
Kathleen Botts of Albany and niece, Julia Long of Albany.

A prayer service will be held Sunday, 6 PM at Kimbrell-Stern with visitation to 
follow until 8 PM.
