The Albany Herald - Obituaries
Lila Littleton, 88, formerly of Lee County, died Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 
Magnolia Manor in Americus. The funeral service will be held at 10 AM Monday at 
Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors with the Rev. Betty Lou Miller officiating. 
Interment will follow at 12 PM in Andersonville National Cemetery.

A native of Arapahoe, NC, Mrs. Littleton moved to Leesburg in 2002 and then to 
Americus in 2005. She was an LPN in the Coronary Care Unit at Craven County 
Hospital in North Carolina. Mrs. Littleton was a member of Neuse Forest 
Presbyterian Church in New Bern, NC. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Poke” Littleton who died in 
2005. Mrs. Littleton is survived by her daughter, Connie Hardison of Leesburg; 
a grandson, Thomas Wade Hardison, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Leesburg; a great-
grandson, Trey Hardison; a great-granddaughter, Angeline Michelle Hardison; and 
three brothers, Dalton Andrews and Albert Andrews both of New Bern, NC, and 
Raymond Andrews of Virginia Beach, VA. 

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Association, 1512-
1 Gillionville Rd., Albany, GA 31707; March of Dimes, 2531 Lafayette Plaza Dr. 
Suite 204, Albany, GA 31707; or to the American Red Cross, 500 Pine Ave., 
Albany, GA 31701. 

The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern Sunday from 2 PM until 4 PM.
