Rev. Howell Dies; Rites Held Today
The funeral service of the Rev. Tommie Lee Howell, 56, 1705 Gillespie Avenue,
who died Saturday, will be conducted today at 2:30pm at Faith Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The Rev. Howell, a native of Dodge County, had lived in Albany for 30 years.
He had served Baptist churches in Slae City, Ocilla, and Fitzgerald and was a
member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Julia Lancaster Howell, Albany; four
daughters, Mrs. Ann Holland, Mrs. Emily Darley, Mrs. Sara Hart, and Miss Wanda
Howell, all of Albany; a step-mother, Mrs. Jim Cochran, Cochran; four sisters,
Mrs. Opal Tripp, Eastman, Mrs. Pearl Smith and Miss Evelyn Howell, both of
Cochran, and Mrs. Juanita Dinardi, Queens, NY; two brothers, Emmis Howell and
James Howell, both of Eastman; and seven grandchildren.
Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors are in charge of arangements.

Tommy was born 26 May 1919 to Jim H. Howell and Emmie Campbell Howell, both of
whom are buried at Bowers Cemetery in Dodge County, Ga. Georgia death
