Obituary  -  J. O. Austin Sr.
  The funeral service of James O. "Monk" Austin Sr., 81, of 5523 Randall Lane, 
who died today, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral 
Directors with interment in Floral Memory Gardens.
  A native of Dale County, Ala., Mr. Austin had resided here since 1947, moving 
here from Miller County.  The widower of Theresa Everson Austin, who died April 
7, he was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
  Survivors include a daughter, Annette A. Myers of Albany; three sons, Bill 
Austin of Dothan, Ala., and Jimmy Austin and J. O. Austin Jr., both of Albany; 
six brothers, Roy Austin of Albany, Jay Austin of Phenix City, Ala., Leslie 
Austin of Hiawassee, Will Austin Jr. of LeHigh, Fla., Jack Austin of Cleveland, 
Ohio, and Charles Austin of Albany; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-
grandchildren\  
  The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Thursday at 
Kimbrell-Stern.
