Rev. W. W. Ball
The funeral service of the Rev. W. W. Ball, 90, of 701 14th Ave., who died
Monday, will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Harvest Temple Church of God
with interment in Floral Memory Gardens.
A native of St. Clair County, Ala., the Rev Mr. Ball had lived in Albany 25
years and was veteran of World War II. He was member of Harvest Temple Church
of God and was responsible for organizing 47 Churches of God throughout the
United States before he retired in 1960.
He was an ordained bishop in the Church of God, state evangelist, district
overseer in various regions and received recognition in 1980 as senior adult
minister.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Donahoo Ball of Albany; three sons, J.
Aaron Ball and Dr. Winston N. Ball of Dalton and Dr. William A. Ball of
Thomasville; three daughters, Mrs. Carlton (Miriam) Thornton and Mrs. William
A. (Jo) Lawson of Albany and Mrs. Paul (Martha) Morgan of Calhoun; three
sisters, Mrs. Evola Collins of Albany, Mrs. Annie Lou Warwick of Staten Island,
N. Y., and Mrs. Eudora Pearson of Porterville, Calif., 18 grandchildren and 26
great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the residence of Dr. and Mrs. William A. Lawson at 5009
Millsbee Lane,
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. today at Kimbrell-Stern
Funeral Directors.
