Donnie Turner Dodgen, 87, died January 26, 2007 at Ross Memorial Health Care in 
Kennesaw, GA. Funeral service will be held Monday 11:00 AM at Kimbrell-Stern 
with entombment to follow at Crown Hill Mausoleum. Rev. Stephen N. Johnson 
officiating. Mrs.Dodgen was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and was retired 
from the JC Penny Corporation. Mrs. Dodgen is survived by her sons, Walter A. 
(Dub) Dodgen of Birmingham, Al, William T. (Bill) Dodgen of Albany, James G. 
(Jim) Dodgen of Acworth, Roderick E. (Rod) Dodgen of Ft. Gaines, daughters, 
Connie D. Johnson of Macon and Carol D. Knight of Albany, sister Mrs. John V. 
Welsh (Dot) of Union City, GA. Mrs. Dodgen was born on June 23, 1919 in Fulton 
County, daughter of the late Walter and Carrie Calloway Turner. She was a 
devoted wife, mother and grandmother of 17 grandchildren, Walter Arthur Dodgen, 
Jr., Kristin Pendergrass, John Johnson, Carrie E. Baguley, Kathryn S. Johnson, 
R. Bradley Knight, Matthew D. Knight, David W. Dodgen, Laura A. Dodgen, Anna L. 
Dodgen, Emily J. Dodgen, William B. Dodgen, J. Benjamin Dodgen, Ivy A. Dodgen, 
Melissa L. Dodgen, Britney A. Dodgen and Haley N. McGilvary, great 
grandchildren, Van S. Dodgen, William P. Dodgen, Andrew H. Dodgen, Jacob S. 
Johnson, Lily M.L. Johnson and Cameron W. Dodgen. Mrs. Dodgen was preceded in 
death by her husband William Arthur (Dub) Dodgen, Sr. and a sister Mrs. Mac R. 
Whitaker. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM 
at Kimbrell-Stern. Those desiring please make donations to Ross Memorial Health 
Care, 1780 Old Hwy 41, Kennesaw, GA 30152.
