Mr. William Isaac (Bill) Coleman 84 of 248 Hatchcock Road in Doerun, GA died 
July 12, 2007 at his residence.

He was born July 22, 1922 on the Coleman family farm to the late Terrell C. and 
Julia Perryman Coleman. As a young man Mr. Coleman began to farm the land on 
which he was born until the call of duty was made for him to serve his country. 
He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II, serving in the 
Atlantic and the Pacific. Following his military service, Mr. Coleman returned 
to his passion, which was farming on the place where his heart always was, his 
family farm. He also worked for Taylor Gin and Peanut Co. and as a rural letter 
carrier for 39 years. Mr. Coleman was a member of the Doerun American Legion 
Post #243. Mr. Coleman also had a love for his church, Union Baptist Church in 
Worth County, where he was a faithful member, active deacon and superintendent 
of the Sunday school. Mr. Coleman grew as a young man and met his first love, 
Elizabeth Daniels to whom he wed. Together they reared their family and on the 
farm, many wonderful memories were made for his children. Bill and Elizabeth 
instilled in their children the values they were taught which was God, family 
and hard work. Mrs. Elizabeth Daniels Coleman died in 1989, and in 1995 he wed 
his second love, Audrey Hatcher affectionately known as Miss Audrey to whom he 
truly cherished. Miss Audrey was a godsend as she was a devoted, loving, and 
caring wife. 

Other survivors include his daughter, Libby Coleman Nichols and her husband 
Steve of Doerun, three sons, Wm. I. (Billy) Coleman, Jr. of Albany, Rick 
Coleman and his wife Susan of Savannah, GA, and Tommy Coleman and his wife 
Yvette of Doerun, brother, Hugh Coleman of Doerun, grandchildren, Wendy Owens 
and her husband Steve, Brandon Coleman, Christopher Coleman, Justin Smith, 
Elizabeth Stallings and her husband Jonathon and Cole Nichols. Those desiring, 
please make memorials to Union Baptist Church, 2758 Evergreen Rd. Doerun, GA 
31744 or to Southern Care, 412 1st St. S.E., Moultrie, GA 31768. 

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM at Kimbrell-
Stern.
The funeral service will be Sunday 3 PM at Union Baptist Church in Worth 
County. Rev. Lonnie Gibson and Rev. John Green officiating. Interment will 
follow in church cemetery.
