Rhen Bishop, 61, of Albany, GA died Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Phoebe Putney 
Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA following an illness. His funeral service will 
be TUESDAY 11 AM at Christ United Methodist Church with interment to follow at 
Crown Hill Cemetery, Albany, GA. The Rev. Kent Miller will officiate. 

A native of Summerville, GA, he had lived in Albany since 1967. Mr. Bishop 
retired from the University of Georgia as the Dougherty County Extension 
Director in 2001. He had graduated from the University of Georgia with a 
masters degree in forestry, and was a member of the Exchange Club of Albany, 
GA. Mr. Bishop was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, was a Sunday 
School teacher, and sang in the choir. 

He was preceded in death by his mother: Ruth Kimball Bishop. Survivors include 
his wife: Beverly Wilder Bishop, Albany; a son: Rev. Hale Bishop and his wife 
Meg, Tybee Island, GA; 2 daughters: Mandy Waters and her husband Bennie and 
Dana Wetzstein and her husband Jamie, both of Albany, GA; 7 grandchildren: 
Taylor Bishop, Abi Bishop, Caleb Waters, Bishop Waters, Zeb Waters, Gage 
Wetzstein, Bailey Wetzstein; his father: George Bishop and his wife Mary, 
Macon, GA; 2 sisters: Gail Bishop, Albany, Janis Shivers and her husband Greg, 
Vidalia. 

The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors, Albany, GA 
Monday from 6-8 PM. Those desiring may send memorials to your church, the Child 
Abuse Program, c/o Exchange Club of Albany, 810 S. Westover Blvd., Albany, GA
