R. Gene Bigler, 71, of Albany, died Friday, October 22, 2004 at Phoebe Putney 
Memorial Hospital. The memorial service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at 
Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors with Pastor Steve Rose officiating. 

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Bigler was retired from Ithaca Manufacturing 
and was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mr. Bigler was preceded in 
death by a son, Gary Bigler. 

Mr. Bigler is survived by his wife, Joan Bigler of Albany; a daughter Debby 
Garcia of Albany; three sons: Brent Fritz of Hoover, AL, Jeff Bigler of 
Huntsville, AL, Greg Bigler of Ohio; fourteen grandchildren, including Amber 
Tate, Brandon Tate and Brandy Palmer all of Albany; and ten great-
grandchildren; two brothers: Tom Bigler and Dick Bigler both of Ohio; and a 
sister, Beverly Bigler of Ohio.
