                 Mrs. Beatty
  The funeral service of Thelma White Beatty, 75, of 4045 Lumpkin St., who 
died Sunday, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral 
Directors with an interment service at 3 p.m. in Prosperity Cemetery in Taylor 
County.
  A native of Taylor County, Mrs. Beatty had resided here many years and was 
owner and operator of Albany Shoe Service with her husband, the late Lester I. 
Beatty.  A member of Grace Primitive Baptist Church , she was a member of the 
Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2785 here and was a past 
president of the Georgia Department of the Ladies Auxiliary.
  Survivors include two sisters, Mary Lee Fowler of Rupert and Alma W. Bogert 
of Albany; two grandchildren, Melissa Ante Beatty and Michelle Dawson Beatty 
of Bradenton, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
  The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. today at 
Kimbrell-Stern.
