Kimbrell Stern - 2004
Mr. Banks was a long time resident of Dougherty County. He joined the U.S. Navy 
in 1940, and retired in 1960 as a Chief Petty Officer, and then retired from 
Civil Service at the Naval Air Station Albany, in 1977. After employment as the 
Security Manager of the Turner Job Corps, he formed the National Investigative 
Services, Inc. in 1982, and retired again, in 1993. Mr. Banks was an Emeritus 
Member of both Dougherty Lodge 591, F&AM and the Scottish Rite Bodies. He was 
also a member of the Shriner’s Hospital Transportation Unit of Hasan Temple. He 
was a member and Deacon of Calvary Baptist Church, Putney, Ga. He also founded 
the Widow and Widowers Association of Albany, and performed numerous hours of 
volunteer work for the Oncology Department at Phoebe Putney Hospital. 

Visitation with the family will be at 276 Stocks Dairy Rd, Leesburg, GA. The 
memorial service will be Wednesday, 4 PM at Kimbrell-Stern with Brothers 
Charles Fisher conducting, and David Benton, assisting.
