Jimmy T. Chambless - Albany Herald - passed away 11/7/1995
Fire captain

Jimmy T. Chambless, 84, of 5408 Fortune St. died Tuesday at his residence after an
illness.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors with burial in
Crown Hill Cemetery with Masonic rites.  The Rev. Chuck Hartness will officiate.
A native of Graves Crossing, Mr. Chambless lived in Albany for 60 years.  He was a
retired captain for the Albany Fire Department and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in
Dawson, Dougherty Lodge 591 F&AM and Albany Moose Lodge 1285.
Survivors include his wife, Twylla Chambless of Albany; two sons, Jimmy P. Chambless of
Albany and William Chambless of Duncan, OK; two daughters, Marilyn C. Strickland of
Albany and Shirley A. Edge of Lithia Springs; two stepsons, Ronald Lee Trivitt of Dallas,
Texas and Tony Krause of Fort Worth, Texas; four stepdaughters, Sandra Adler of
Revillo S.D., Barbara Jean Mueller of Brooking, S.D., Romona Trivitt of Portland, OR,
and Joan Furguson of Fort Worth; a sister, Elizabeth Strickland of Albany; 18
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The family will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Wynn Strickland, 2712 Pine Valley
Road.  Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. today at Kimbrell-Stern.
