Mrs. O. G. Martin, 77, of 222 Fourth Ave. died Wednesday night in the Phoebe
Putney Hospital following an illness. She had been a resident of Albany for
the last two years, moving here from Fort Gaines. She was born in Fort Gaines
and was the daughter of the late Ranch and Emma Narramore Williams of Clay
County. Before her marriage to the late O. G. Martin of Clay County, she
was the former Miss Docia Nell Williams.
Mrs. Martin was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Clay County.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. S. B. Johnson of La Marque, Tx.,
Mrs. Mary Cate Andrews of Lake City, Tenn., Mrs. James Sapp of Lake Village, Ind.;
two sons, R. C. Martin of Albany, O. L. Martin of Fort Gaines; 21 grandchildren
and a number of great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in Clay County. The Rev. E. L.
Lewis will conduct the services.
Pallbearers will be announced later by Kimbrell-Stern funeral directors.
