Obituary Notice - 18 Sep 1963  Worth County Rites Held for Mrs. Pye

  Funeral service for Mrs. John B. Pye were held at 3 p. m. today in Gordy 
Methodist Church in Worth County, the Rev. J. Leroy Hendricks and the Rev. 
Buford Pittman officiating.  Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ashburn, with 
grandsons serving as pallbearers.
  Mrs. Pye, 99, died Tuesday morning in a Moultrie convalescent home following 
an illness.  For the past 22 years, Mrs. Pye made her home with her son, 
Clifford G. Pye of Sylvester.  She was born Oct. 9, 1863, in Talbot County, Ga.
  She was a member of Gordy Methodist Church in Worth County.
  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lula Farmer,  Fayetteville, N. C.; two 
sons, Clifford G. Pye, Sylvester, and  W. A. Pye, Lakeland, Fla.; her daughter -
 in - law Mrs. O. P. Pye, Albany; 22 grandchildren and several great-
grandchildren.
  Kimbrell-Stern, funeral directors, were in charge of arrangements.
