The Berrien Press dated 3-26-2003--Nina Irene Johnson, 66, of Ray City died 
March 22, 2003 at her residence.
 Born Feb.. 27, 1937 in Tift Co. to the late James and Mary Jane Gill Brown, 
she was a homemaker and member of Forest Hill Freewill Baptist Church.
 Survivors include her husband, John Madison Johnson of Ray City, two 
daughters, Wanda Jean Nelson of Jacksonville, FL and Mary Kathleen Whittington 
of Tifton; three sons, Robbie Dale Harper of Glendale, CA, Jackie Steven Smith 
of Brunswick, Avery Lee Smith of Tifton; two step daughters. Alice Kay Coleman 
of North Charleston, SC and Patricia Elizabeth Barton of Atlanta; three 
sisters, Emma Jean Davidson and Nell Harper, both of Tifton, Mae Williams of 
Jacksonville, FL; one brother, James Shealey of Washington, DC; 16 
grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held March 24 at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Freewill Baptist 
Church with the Revs. Mitchell Deems and Carl Morrison officiating Kim Combass 
and Bill Plymel provided music.
 Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery.
 Active pallbearers were Damon Bennett, Dexter Bridges, Bill Plymel, David 
Webb, Ronnie Bennett, Joe Fulgham, William Webb, Gene Hannon.
 Honorary pallbearers were Billy Crowley, Donald Tidwell, Mike Jilcott, Harvey 
Rice.
 Lovein Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
