W.A. Reid, Jr.
The funeral service of William A. Reid, Jr., 69, of Red Bank, NJ, formerly of 
Albany, who died Sunday will be conducted at 2 pm Thursday at the First United 
Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
A native of Albany, Mr. Reid attended the Conservatory of Music in Gainesville, 
FL, and was awarded a Bachelor of Music Degree from Syracuse University, NY. He 
was the Director of the Radio City NY Glee Club and the University Glee Club, 
NY, and was accompanianist on many radio programs.
He taught piano in Dougherty County Public Schools and was an Organist at the 
First United Methodist Church before moving to Red Bank, NJ where he lived 17 
years. He was teaching piano in Middletown NJ schools and was Director of Music 
and Organist at the United Methodist Church, Bradley Beach, NJ at the time of 
his death.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Laurie McKagen Reid, Red Bank, NJ; a 
daughter, Mrs. Anna Adams, Middletown, NJ; two brothers John Reid, Gainseville, 
FL and Edwin Reid, Demarest, NJ; and a granddaughter.
Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
