Rocky Mt. Served as graveyard for the Rocky Branch community, Shanks community, and some from Kirvin. Newspapers tend to label the area as Wortham. The old name for the cemetery is "Rockey Branch" with the "e". This is extremely common spelling for the burial ground on the death certificates in the later 1920s. Church is still standing and active as of 2014. The cemetery is located to the left of the church building. Cemetery Size: About 3 acres. Location: West of Kirvin community (between Wortham and Kirvin, south of Tehuacana Creek. See the 1918 soil map for Freestone County, Texas.) Directions #1: From Teague, go on Hwy 84 West to FM-1366. Take a right. Go Five (5) miles. Turn left on CR 971, drive to cross roads of 970 & 971, turn left, go approx 2 miles. Church & cemetery are located on right.
