James Lester Smith

James Lester Smith, 77, of Rt. 5, Box 394 H, Texarkana, Tex., died Thursday in a local
hospital.

The body will lie in state at East Funeral Home of Texarkana until 1 p.m. Monday.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Red Lick Methodist Church with the 
Rev. Stanley Nabona officiating.  Burial will be in Red Lick Cemetery.

Mr. Smith had been a resident of Texarkana for the past 56 years and was retired
from the Red RIver Arsenal.  He was a Methodist, a member of the D. A. V. and 
a veteran of WWI and WWII.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lettye Smith, a daughter, Mrs. Jayne Brown of 
Texarkana; two sisters, Mrs. Ave Lee Fleming of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Mrs.
Ollie Wilson of Victoria, Tex.; three grandchildren, all of Texarkana.
