Marguerite Marie Smith died on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in St Tammany Parish 
Hospital at the age of 90. 

She is survived by J.L. Smith, her husband of 70 years, her sister, Mrs. 
Geraldine St. Germaine of Harahan, LA, and nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anatole and Frenella Clause and 
brother, Francis Clause.  

Marguerite was born in Labadieville, LA. 
She married her high school sweetheart during World War II and lived most of 
her adult life in Houston and Dallas, TX.  
She was a devout Catholic, a loving wife, an accomplished homemaker and a 
talented interior decorator. In later life she retired with her husband to 
Ocean Springs, MS. before moving to the north shore where they lived at 
Christwood in Covington, LA.  

  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to the John Lohman 
Fund, 100 Christwood Blvd., Covington, LA
