Nellie Elizabeth "Nettie Gean" Bevills of McCrory died Oct 12, 
2001 at her home. She was 59 yrs of age.

Services were held Oct. 14, at Thompson and Wilson Funeral Home.
Interment at Pumpkin Bend Cemetery.Mrs. Bevills was born Feb 3, 
1942 in McCrory, the daughter of Tommy Smith and the late Ruby 
Jewell Skinner Smith. She attended school in McCrory before being 
married to Randall Bevills on Sept 16, 1960, whom prceeded her in 
death. Together they owned and operated "The Friendly Store" 
(furniture and Appliance) for 30 years. She was a member of the 
Pumpkin Bend Community Church and attened regularly as long as her 
health permitted. She loved to cook and be with her family. She was 
a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a friend to many.
