GARLAND, Texas – 

Evelyn Smith, 80, of Garland died Feb. 1, 1998, at
Garland. She was born Jan. 5, 1918, in Kansas. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Reece Smith.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Betty Erwin and Arlis of
Garland; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy
Brown of Rogers.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church of
Garland. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park under the direction of
Restland Funeral Home of Dallas, Texas.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
