Northwest Arkansas Times, Thursday, Oct. 7, 1937
  Fayetteville, Arkansas--William Hamilton Benson of Goshen passed away at his
home Wednesday morning, October 6, 1937 after a long illness.  He was born March
11, 1858 in Rhea County, Tennessee, the son of Isaac and Rebecca (McDonald)
Benson.  
  He leaves surviving him his wife, Mrs. Julia E. (Kelly) Benson and nine sons
and daughters:  George Benson, Mrs. Lola Sawyer, Mrs. Freeman Boatright, Mrs.
Roy Glaze, Clyde Benson, Mrs. Randall Harbison, Lynn Benson, Bill Benson and
Wood Benson; and eight grandchildren, June Sawyer, Gene Glaze, Bud Glaze, Grace
Glaze, Kathleen Glaze, Betty Jo Glaze,  Ruth Boatright and Beth Boatright.
  Funeral services were conducted at the home near Goshen, at 5 p.m. Wednesday,
by Rev. Fred Logue, Clay Clark being in charge of arrangements.  Burial was in
the Goshen Cemetery. 
  Mr. Benson was 78 years of age at the time of his death and had spent most of
his life in Washington county, and almost 50 years on the farm where he died.
