C   CHARLOTTE PHILLIPS
   
Born March 22, 1931 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of  James Cecil and   Grace Nowlin 
Phillips. Her father was born in 1891 in Van Buren County, Arkansas. Her mother was 
born 1911 in Throckmorton County, Texas. Her grandparents were  Wash and  Martha 
Phillips and  John and   Ola Evans Nowlin.

About 1951,   Charlotte Phillips married  James William Boles born December  15, 1926 
at Carbon, Texas, the son of  Clyde Henry and   Viola Guy Boles. His father was born 
1895 and his mother born 1897 in Texas. His grandparents were   John and   Margaret 
Baird Boles and  John and   Mary Arnold Guy.
        
         Charlotte and  James had two children:
                (1)  James Stevens Boles born December 2, 1952 in Lubbock, Texas
                (2)  Christine May Boles born July 16, 1955 in Lubbock, Texas
    
Charlotte had a brother,  Robert Phillips b December 1, 1933 and a half sister who was  
Helen Phillips b December 2, 1922.

The  James Boles family live (1968) in Sundown, Texas where he is employed by an oil 
company.

In the summer of 1966, the family visited in Dardanelle, Arkansas and   Charlotte and   
Lola Person Cooper met for the first time. Their grandmothers were sisters,   Jennie 
Smith Person and   Martha Smith Phillips.

 Charlotte, with her charming manner and fine character, won the favor of  Lola and  
Walter Cooper. She caused Lola to become interested in family genealogy when she 
asked for data on the Smith family.
