	Mary Adaline Sehorn, 89, of Waldron died Saturday, December 23,
2000 in a Waldron nursing home. She was a homemaker, a member of
Winfield Baptist Church and the widow of James Sehorn.
	Funeral services were held at 10 am Tuesday, December 26,
2000 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Sehorn Cemetery in
Winfield under the direction of Martin Funeral Home.
	She is survived by one sister, Robbie Brown of Waldron; one
sister-in-law, Jewell Brown of Waldron; one brother, Elisha Brown of
Waldron and several nieces and nephews.

ARNOLD McCRAW
	Arnold Lee McCraw, 73, of Tulsa, Oklahoma went to be with the
Lord on Sunday, December 24, 2000 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.
Arnold was born on February 2, 1927 to G.E. and Beulah Mae McCraw in
Parks, Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea. Arnold married
Louella Neal on September 2, 1950, and had lived in Tulsa since 1957.
After retiring from many years in several management positions, most
notably personnel management, Arnold was self-employed in the real
estate rental business. He was a member of the First United Methodist
Church in Tulsa.
	Arnold had a strong work ethic, and was known and respected as 
a man of integrity. However, the most important part of Arnold's life
was his family. Arnold was completely devoted to Louella, and they
celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary this year. Though he had
lived in Tulsa for over forty-three years, Arnold still maintained 
close ties with his extended family and many friends in Arkansas whom
he loved dearly.
	Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, G.E. and Beulah 
Mae McCraw, and his brother, Eugene A. McCraw. He is survived by a
loving family including his wife, Louella McCraw; two sons, Larry 
David McCraw and his wife, Ann, of Little Rock, and Ronald Lee McCraw
and his wife, Anna, of Fayetteville; two sisters, DeLois Tidwell of
Mt. Ida and Doyce McDaniel of Mountain Home; and six grandchildren,
Matthew, Kyle and Luke McCraw of Little Rock, and Ryan, Laura and
John McCraw of Fayetteville.
	Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 30
at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron with the Reverend Pat Ray
Frost officiating, followed by interment in Parks Cemetery at Parks,
Arkansas under the direction of Martin Funeral Home. Memorial
contributions can be made to Parks Cemetery Fund in c/o Martin Funeral

	Arthur Elmer Perkins, 75, of Waldron, died Wednesday, January 3,
2001 in a Waldron hospital. He was a retired landscaper, a veteran of
WWII and a member of the Waldron Pentecostal Church.
	Funeral services were held at 11 am Saturday, January 6, 2001
at the Waldron Pentecostal Church of God with burial at Mt. Pleasant
Cemetery in Waldron under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of
Waldron.
	He is survived by his wife, Elinor Perkins of the home; four
daughters, Penny Perkins of Naples, Florida, Cindy Perkins of Woodruff,
Wisconsin, Stephanie Perkins of Bonita Springs, Florida and Louise
Perkins of Woodruff, Wisconsin; two sons, Pat Perkins of Spring Stead,
Wisconsin and Art Perkins, III of Naples, Florida; three sisters,
Adaline Pogorelski of Woodruff, Wisconsin, Joann Bellevean of Eagle
River, Wisconsin and Jerri Below of Bonita Springs, Florida; two

DELBERT JANWAY
	Delbert Janway, age 69, of Blackfork, Arkansas, passed away
Thursday, December 28, 2000 at his home.
	He was born September 30, 1931 in Blackfork, Arkansas to the
late Crowder Janway and the late Anne Oglesby Janway. He was united
in marriage to Charlene Staggs. He was a machine operator for U.S.
Motors and he was a member of the Concord Baptist Church in Ink,
Arkansas. Mr. Janway was a loving husband, father, brother, and
grandfather.
	He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Charlene Staggs Janway
of Blackfork; one son, Gary Janway and his wife Mary of Pittsburg,
Texas; one daughter, Judy Janway Davis and her husband C.J. of Umpire,
Arkansas; one sister, Verniece Wiseman of Harrison, Arkansas; 6
grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter
and a brother, Herman Janway.
	Funeral services were held Thursday, January 4, 2001 at 2 pm
in the Friendship Baptist Church in Blackfork, Arkansas. Burial
followed in the Blackfork Cemetery in Blackfork, Arkansas under the
direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
	Pallbearers were Jerry Staggs, Mike Staggs, Dan Staggs, Terry
Staggs, John Nelson and Hugh Keeling. Honorary pallbearers were the
Nelson Deer Camp.

SHIRLEY HUDGENS
	Shirley Marie (Blalock) Hudgens, 87, of Waldron passed away
Monday, January 1, 2001 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a member of
Shiloh Baptist Church, a homemaker and the widow of Charley Hudgens.
Mrs. Hudgens was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Leola
Blalock and six brothers.
	Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Owens of Waldron and
Lea Stringer of Fort Smith and one son, Jimmy Hudgens of Waldron.
Other survivors include ten grandchildren, James Owens, Jeff Owens,
Shannon Hudgens and Shelton Hudgens, all of Waldron, Todd Stringer of
Fort Smith, Sammy Hudgens of Memphis, TN, Lisa Pace, Sherrill Jones
and Lori Jones all of Waldron, Angela Nigh of Greenbriar, AR. Seventeen
great-grandchildren, Michele Owens, Zachery Owens, April Owens, Chelsie
Owens, Casey Owens, Shauna Hudgens, Casey Hudgens, Chrissy Trampp,
Hanna Jones, Ashley Ball, Jessica Ball, Maggie Hudgens, Taylor Pace,
Donovan Pace, Clay Nigh, Austin Jones and Brody Jones. One great-
great grandchild, Loren Trampp. Also surviving are several nieces and
nephews.
	Funeral services were at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 4 at 
Martin Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Duncan Cemetery. Pallbearers

BEULAH FOSTER
	Beulah Lee Ryals Foster of Mena, born January 4, 1932 in Montgomery
County, Arkansas, died of a prolonged illness on January 7, 2001. She was
69 years old. She is preceded by her husband, Samuel "J.C." Foster to whom
she was a loving wife of 50 years. Mrs. Foster was a devoted mother to
their two children.
	She [is] survived by her son, Darrel W. Foster and his wife Marsha
of North Richland Hills, Texas; by their daughter Stacy Schultz and her
husband Aaron; and Mrs. Foster's grandson, Hayden, all of Texas.
	Mrs. Foster is also survived by her daughter Ann Foster DiSylvestro
and her husband Carmen of Salisbury, Maryland.
	Mrs. Foster was a long-standing member of the Shady Grove Methodist
Church and later of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Mena.
	Alsp preceding Mrs. Foster in death are her father Mr. Flemming
Ryals and her sister Esther Ryals Wilson. Mrs. Foster is survived by her
mother Maudie Fryar Ryals; by a sister Marie Myers and husband Jakie; and
by a sister Betty Sunderman and husband Henry G. Sunderman. Mrs. Foster 
had eight nieces and nephews.
	Services were officiated by Brother Dean Egger in the Beasley-Wood
Funeral Home Chapel in Mena on Friday, January 12, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. Burial
will follow in the White Oak Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-
Wood Funeral Home.

	Services for Carel E. Wagner, 88, of Andrews, Texas were at 4:00
p.m., Monday, January 15, 2001 in Maranatha Assembly of God Church with
Rev. Robert Burns, pastor and Rev. Donnie Wagner of Waldron, Arkansas
officiating. Burial followed in the Andrews West Cemetery under the
direction of McNett Funeral Home.
	Carel died Saturday, January 13, 2001 at his residence. He was
born December 15, 1912 in Waldron, Arkansas. He married Nora Frances
Sparks on November 1, 1931 in Waldron, Arkansas. They lived in Seminole
before moving to Andrews in 1989.
	Carel was a custodian for the Seminole Schools before retirement.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death
by his wife Nora, on August 24, 1999.
	He is survived by one son, Buffard Wagner of Andrews, TX; one
daughter, Clara Nell Franklin of Dallas, TX; one brother, James Wagner
of Waldron, AR; five sisters, Florance Walker, Zadie Deadman, Maddie
Plum, Ada Oliver and Etta Vaughn, all of Waldron, AR; four grandchildren;
seven great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

WILLIAM ELLIOTT
	William Thomas "Nat" Elliott, 78, died December 31, 2000 at his home
in San Diego, California. He was born in Cedar Creek in Scott County on
June 22, 1922. His parents were Cecil and Jennie Elliott. William Thomas
Elliott attended Arkansas Tech University. He joined the United States
Navy in 1941 and served for 20 years. After retiring from the Navy, he
worked for the Prudential Insurance Company and in real estate. Cause of
death was cancer of the spine.
	He was preceded in death by his wife Wilma and brothrs Wingo and
Wayne of Waldron. He is survived by one son, James Ralph of San Diego,
California and one daughter Diane of Sacramento, California. He has two
grandchildren and one great grandchild. His surviving brother is Craig
Elliott of Flint, Michigan. Marilyn Hicks of Waldron is his niece.

community, died Friday, January 19, 2001 in St. Edward Mercy Medical
Center in Ft. Smith.
	She was born September 12, 1922 in Johnson Creek, Arkansas to the
late Wylie Hensley and the late Nora Carpenter Hensley, her age being 78
years, 4 months and 7 days.
	She was united in marriage on April 7, 1945 in Johnson Creek, Arkansas
to the late Calvin C. Lovett. She was a member of the Holiness faith and a
homemaker.
	She is survived by one brother, Jim Hensley of Wylie, Texas; two
sisters Delia Warren of Talihina, Oklahoma and Cracie Cole of Hillsborough,
Oregon. Numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters, Josie
Ward, Estelle Johnson, Frona Bagwell, Ellen Hamilton and brothers, Sam
Hensley, John Hensley, Arlin Hensley and James Hensley.
	Funeral services were at 2 pm Sunday, January 21, 2001 in the Chant
Pentecostal Church with Brother Michael Shaddon and Brother Rick Hunt
officiating. Interment will be in the Rogers Cemetery in Y-City under the
direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.

INEZ FLANAGAN BAUGH
	Inez Flanagan Baugh of Waldron passed away Friday, January 19, 2001 in
a Waldron hospital. She was born September 2, 1913 in Franklin County,
Arkansas to Ed and Clara Flanagan. Mrs. Baugh was a graduate of Ozark High
School and Arkansas Tech University in Russellville and taught school for
over 40 years mostly at the Waldron Public School. She was married in May
1936 to Vernon T. Baugh who preceded her in death in March 1998.
	Mrs. Baugh was a life long member of the First United Methodist Church
and was active in many civic organizations including BPW Club and the Garden
Club. She and her husband, Vernon, are remembered as rose growers who shared
roses with former students, organizations and churches. Along with their love
of roses, Mr. and Mrs. Baugh did volunteer work with the Boy Scout Troop #17
for over 20 years.
	Mrs. Baugh is survived by one sister, Norma Vest of Ozark and several
nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held 2:00 pm Monday, January 22 at
the Waldron First United Methodist Church with interment at Duncan Cemetery
under the direction of Martin Funeral Home. Memorial can be given to Duncan
Cemetery Association or Waldron First United Methodist Church.

	Fred Columbus Jones, 92, of Mena passed away February 1, 2001, in
Mena. He was born June 14, 1908 in Nella, Arkansas, to the late George
Robert Jones and the late Mattie Clarie Hill Jones. On June 23, 1935, he
was united in marriage to Lois Lillian Bowen in Denton, Arkansas. He 
served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was awarded two bronze stars.
Mr. Jones was a deacon of the Calvary Baptist Church and was retired
from the U.S. Forest Service. Mr. Jones was a farmer and a loving husband,
father, brother, uncle and grandfather.
	He is survived by his wife, Lois Jones of Mena, Arkansas; two sons,
Robert and his wife Donna Jones of Acorn, Arkansas, Bill Jones of Tonti-
town, Arkansas; two daughters, Pat and her husband Odell Staggs of Waldron
and Pamela and her husband Robert Pipkin of Mena; one brother, Marvin Jones
of Mena; one sister, Audrey Mills of Waldron; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-
grandchildren; and a host of friends.
	Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Charlie

	Born March 21, 1923 in Donaphin, Missouri, passed away February 3,
2001. A resident of the South Bay for 60 years, Gene was Superintendent
of the Beacon Light Mission in San Pedro for many years, having served
them for more than 50 years working with more than 30 churches on behalf
of homeless men. He is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda; daughter, Mary
Ann (George) Eaton; son, Mark Eugene McCann; granddaughter, Rebecca Ann
Eaton; brother, Tom McCann of Waldron, Arkansas; sisters, Betty Campbell
of Bakersfield, Kelsie Taff of Waldron, Arkansas and Wanda Lee Young of
Trinidad, Colorado.
	Funeral services were on Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at 10 am at
McNerney's Colonial Mortuary. Interment was held at Green Hills Memorial
Park at 10:45 am and proceeded on Avalon Blvd., in order to pass by
Wilmington Square, which is where Gene met so many men in his work for
Beacon Light. The services then concluded at Green Hills Memorial Park
in Rancho Palos Verdes.

	She was assistant manager of the Boston Store in Fayetteville, retiring
in 1986. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and Circle-4.
	She is survived by her husband, Tom Hill; one son, Tommy Hill of Waldron,
AR; two daughters, Beverly K. Hill and Madeline Carol Johnson, both of
Fayetteville; five grandsons and two great-grandchildren.

	Mr. James Lee "Preacher" Morris, age 77, of Roland, Arkansas, died

CLYDE DIAMOND
	Clyde Louis Diamond was born to Clyde and Dorothy Walls Diamond
on November 1, 1938 in Waco, Texas. Clyde Louis Diamond passed this life
on March 3, 2001, while at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith,
Arkansas. He married Shirley Fuller on February 15, 1963. From that
marriage Shana Leah Diamond and Clyde Lee Diamond were born.
	Clyde Louis Diamond grew up in Houston, Texas and attended Sam
Houston High School. In 1959 he moved to Magazine, Arkansas due to 
health complications. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde
and Dorothy Diamond. He is survived by his wife Shirley Fuller Diamond
of thirty-seven years. One daughter, Shana Simons, her husband Chad
and their children Jessica, Heather and Josh of Tennessee. One son,
Clyde Lee Diamond, his wife Lisa, and their children Heather, Chad,
Dystiny, Zacry, Justin and Zane of Magazine, Arkansas. One sister,
Barbara June Dunn, her husband Frank and their children Rodney, Rhonda,
Donna, Franky and Dottie of Harvey, Arkansas. His mother-in-law, Maxine

LYNN H. SHELTON
	Lynn H. Shelton, age 84, died Wednesday, March 14, 2001 at the home
of his daughter in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born November 18, 1916 in
Vivian, Louisiana. He was the son of the late Charles Shelton and Eurtis
Griffin Shelton.
	He graduated from high school in Artesia, New Mexico and worked in
management positions for J.C. Penney Company for sixteen years. He was a
veteran of the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.
	He served as the minister for Churches of Christ in New Mexico, Texas,
Colorado, Nebraska and Waldron, Arkansas for over fifty years. His final
sermon was preached at the Crystal Springs Church of Christ last November.
He was joined in these efforts by his wife of fifty-five years, the late
Milta Newman Shelton.
	He is survived by his son, Victor L. Shelton and his wife Rita of
Springfield, Missouri and his daughter Sherra Sue Shelton Phillips and her
husband, Ronald W. Phillips of Little Rock; sister-in-law Jane Newman of
Ft. Smith, AR; grandchildren, Jenny Lynn Dunagan and her husband Steven of
Springfield, Missouri; Sunny Joy Park and her husband Michael of Lubbock,
Texas; Justin Phillips and his fiancee Shauri Taskey; and Aaron Lynn Phillips
all of Little Rock; and great grandson Brady Mac Dunnigan; and two nieces
and a nephew.
	After retiring from the church at Waldron he moved to Little Rock.
He was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. He married a very
special lady four years ago, Bessie Brown Shelton, and with this marriage
acquired a large and loving extended family which he counted as his own.
Survivors are daughters, Carolyn Wright and her husband Wayne, Danita Hart
and husband James, and Debbie Wright and husband Wally, all of the Little
Rock area, six grandchildren, Tonya Hoffman, Andrea Collatt, Scott Wright,
Jeremy Wright, Samantha Brooks, and Amanda Wright, and five great-grand-
children, Brooks Wright, Drew Collatt, Zach Groves, A.J. Collatt and Clare
Grace Wright.
	He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and golfing buddies.
He was proud of the fact that at the age of 82, he shot his age at the golf
course. He had such knowledge of the Bible, a wonderful smile which conveyed
care and kindness, concern and patience, a great shock of silver wavy hair
and love for all whose lives he touched. He was "Grandpa Shelton" to Nicholas
and Emilee Phillips, Lindsey Niesen and a lot of other children. Our bonds
of family and friendship will be everlasting in Christ.
	A special thanks to Dr. Ralph Broadwater and his staff and the nurses
and caretakers at University Hospital and the staff of the Surgery Oncology
Clinic at Arkansas Cancer Research Center.
	A Memorial Service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17th, at
Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. Arrangements are by Roller-Chenal Funeral
Home. His cremated remains will be carried by his children for burial at
Pinon, New Mexico.
	The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to
Hospice Homecare, Arkansas Cancer Research Center, the mission fund at
Pleasant Valley Church of Christ or Central Arkansas Christian School.

	Lottie Lois (Klingaman) Rye was born March 28, 1901 in Oklahoma City,
Indian Territory, to Jacob Franklin and Katie Anne (Tye) Klingaman. On
February 7, 2001, in Sedona, Arizona, while the dew was on the roses, she
walked into the glorious garden of our Lord Jesus.
	Lois graduated from Oklahoma High School in 1919. On March 18, 1922
she and Mitchell C. Rye were united in marriage. The couple enjoyed life
together for over 56 years, until his passing on February 28, 1979.
	Lois retired in 1950 from Tinker Field Air Force Base in Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma. The family then moved to a farm in Waldron, Arkansas, 
where they had a mill. The made molding and raised cattle. Lois had several
acres where she cultivated flowers. She was known for her passion for 
gardening and her love for her Pekingese companions; she had several 
since 1923.
	In 1981, Lois relocated to Sedona, Arizona, where she enjoyed the
red rocks until her death. Mrs. Rye touched, enriched, and inspired many
people she befriended through the years.
	Lois is survived by two granddaughters, Lacy Morgan of Coweta,
Oklahoma and Lindsay Cooper of Tulsa, Oklahoma; nieces, Elaine Deihl
of Sedona, Arizona, Lois Jane Eggers of Cabool, Missouri and Claire
Wagner of San Marcos, California; nephew, Edward Berger of Sedona, Arizona;
her dear cousin, Carolyn Smith of Tulsa, OK; many other nieces, nephews, 
cousins, other relatives and friends.
	Mrs. Rye was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, her
sisters and brother.
	Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31,
2001, at Kolb Cemetery in Spencer, Oklahoma. Shawn Bates will officiate
and services are under the direction of Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home,
119 N. Chestnut, Bristow, Oklahoma.
