He is the Husband of one of my best friends                                                              

In Memory of GRANVIL C. THURMOND...........5/7/1929--8/13/1993........
Granvil C. Thurmond was born 5/7/1929 in Des Arc to Virgil & Marie 
Coffeman Thurmond. He was retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of 
service as a Chief Warrant Officer III and from the U. S. Postal service 
after 24 years of service. He was a member of the Word of Flame Fellowship 
Church in Little Rock.  

     Survivors are his wife Carol Thurmond, a son, Glendell Thurmond of 
L. R., a daughter Kimberly Stacks of Bryant, his brother, Roy Thurmond 
of Des Arc, a sister Virginia Ware of Griffithville & 3 Grandchildren.     

Service: Monday 8/16/1993 at 2:00 P.M.  Ballard Funeral Home Chapel  

INTERMENT:  New Rosemont Cemetery.....Pall Bearers:  Rex & Greg Pelton, 
Robert Puckett, George C. & Johnny Ralph Robinette, & Harry Crossland.
