Obituary:

Jonathan "Devoe" Jones, 87, of Little Rock, died Sunday, December 30, 
2001 in Little Rock.

The son of the late Harvey and Drady (Edgmon) Jones was born on January 
30, 1914 in Marble Falls, Arkansas.  He was a resident of Pulaski County 
for 57 years and a prior resident of Harrison.  He was a veteran of the 
U.S. Army during World War II.  He was a farmer and enjoyed making rugs. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Earl A. Jones and two 
sisters, Mary Alice Hoyt and Fredia Bradshaw.

He is survived by a brother J.A. Jones of Yakima, WA.; four sisters, Irene 
Russell of Long Beach, CA., Eula Adams, Buna Faye Adams and Dorothy Moore 
all of Harrison, AR.; and a host of neices and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday January 2, 2002 at Christeson Funeral 
Home with Arvin Adams, nephew officating.  Visitation will be Tuesday 
January 1, 2002 at Christeson Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Darvin Adams,  Tom Thompson, nephews, Matthew Adams, 
T.J. Thompson, great-nephews, Shirley Adams and Carolyn Thompson, nieces.  
Honorary pallbearers will be great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Burial will be in the White Church Cemetery under the direction of 
Christeson Funeral Home.
