REVEREND HORACE G. GRIGSON, JR., 80, of Little Rock passed away September 
2, 2001. A devout Christian, he exhibited remarkable generosity and Christ's 
love to others. He was born in 1921 in Texarkana, a graduate of Ouachita 
Baptist University, Arkadelphia, Ark., and Southwestern Seminary, Fort Worth, 
Texas. He pastured churches in Arkansas with his last pastorate being 
Woodlawn Baptist Church in Little Rock for 16 years before serving on the
staff of the Union Rescue Mission for nine years. 

He is survived by his wife, Edith Branch Grigson; son, Quincy and wife 
Becky of Gautier, Miss., son, William and wife Cindee of Windermere, Fla., 
son, Allan and wife Carol of Fredericksburg, Va., and son, Russell and wife 
Sharon of Odenton, Md.; eight grandchildren; and a brother, Brosie Grigson 
of Lincoln, Ark.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2001 
at Woodlawn Baptist Church, with a graveside service at 4 p.m. Wednesday at 
Sylverino Cemetery in Texarkana.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 
in the Fellowship Hall at Woodlawn Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to Ouachita 
Baptist University, P.O. Box 3754, Arkadelphia, Ark. 71998 or Woodlawn Baptist 
Church, 5520 Woodlawn St., Little Rock, Ark.
