WALLACE GRAVES AT SAYRE

This small cemetery is located near the old community of Sayre
near Reader. I had noticed a metal funeral home marker here
about two years ago. Since then the timber has been cut and
the area grew up in brush and the graves appeared to have been
lost. I noticed in July, 2000 that someone had cleaned the
cemetery up and installed two small markers at this site.

Directions: From Chidester, go toward Bluff City to Hwy. 368.
Turn right and go to Reader and turn right on Rd. 24. Go about
one mile, cross the old abandoned railroad (track has been
removed). Turn left on Rd. 335. The cemetery will be on your
left about 100 yards down this road, very near the road near a
huge oak tree.
