HUNTER CEMETERY

This record was made by Jerry McKelvy in December, 1997.

This abandoned African-American cemetery is located near the
northwest corner of the NE 1/4 SE 1/4 of Section 18, Township
13 South, Range 18 West. The cemetery is no longer used for
burials.

Driving directions: From Camden, go out Hwy. 24 toward
Prescott and turn left at Harvey’s Grocery on to Rd. 12.
Go about three miles and turn left on Rd. 100. Go about 1.5
miles to a curve to the right. Turn left on a logging road.
When the road forks, take the right fork. When you come to an
orange painted line, walk west on this line about 1/4th mile to
the cemetery, which is on south side of this painted line.
You will need a pickup truck.
