Sarah Ann "Sallie" (Jones) Stewart is the daughter of Margarette (Schrum)
Jones Martin. Margarette (Schrum) Jones Martin is my Great-Great-
Grandmother. Information found in the Clarksville Democrat Newspaper,
Johnson County, Arkansas. Dated May 13, 1915.

Mrs. Sallie Stewart died at her home near Hagarville Saturday, May 8,
after several weeks illness, and was buried in the family grave yard
Sunday. Rev. Walker conducting the funeral services. Many relatives and
friends paid their last tribute of respect there. Mrs. Stewart was 81
years old, and had resided where she died for 60 years. She was born in
Bledsoe County, east Tennessee, Sept. 27, 1833. After the death of her
husband, four years ago, she could not be persuaded to leave the old
homestead. The sweet memories of bygone days and her great love of home
was so much pleasure to her in her last days. She was a member of the
Presbyterian church and her faith was strong in the Lord. She leaves
four children, Mrs. A. B. Hamilton of Lamar, Dr. J. J. Stewart of
Hagarville; Mrs. W. J. Morrow of Hagarville and Ben Stewart of California.
