Clarksville---- Carvan Farris Davis, 70, of Clarksville died Sunday, June
14, at Johnson County Regional Medical Center.
    A son of the late Lonnie Joe and Bessie Bates Davis, he was retired 
from the Clarksville Police Department, an Army veteran, a 32nd degree 
Mason and a Baptist.  He was a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge #9 and 
Chapter 172 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
   Survivors include his wife, Sylvia E Robinson Davis; four sons, 
David Allen Davis of Phoenix, Az, Richard Clark Davis of Frankfurt, 
Germany, James Alvin Davis of Coal Hill and Tommy Farris Davis of 
Indianapolis IN; two daughters, Sandra Jean Davis Long of Nashville TN., 
and Connie Lou Griffith of Coal Hill;  three brothers Vendal Davis and 
Howard Davis of El Paso AR., and Faborn Davis of Searcy, AR., two sisters 
Juanita Davis Smith of Beebe and Alice Faye Davis Beatty of Athens, MI; 
and seven grandchildren.
  Funeral will be at 2 PM. Wednesday at Roller-Cox Chapel by the Rev Amos
Pledger.  Burial with Masonic rites will be in Minnow Creek Cemetery at 
Lamar AR by Roller-Cox Funeral Service.
  Pallbearers: 
  Active- Burley Shook, Varnel Nelson, Elmer Pannel, William Cagle, Clark
James and William Martin.
  Honorary--Lee Gilmer, Mike Parson and Charles Box.
  The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
