All rights reserved.http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Take Highway 359 northeast in Lamar approximately 4.5 miles to gate with cemetery sign on it on the left. Highway 359 will make a sharp curve to the south and this gate is not far past this curve. Cemetery is .2 mile off the road through this gate. The cemetery committe has made markers for several people with just their name on a small stone about the size of most foot stones with no dates. There are 13 unmarked graves. This is the family cemetery for the Reynolds family. The land where this cemetery is located was originally owned by Joseph J. C. Rogers, the uncle of Mary Frances Rogers, wife of Edward Reynolds. Pope Co. Historical Quarterly Vol 34 #2, June 2000 has him killed by a group of men on 17 Aug 1870. This would have been during the Pope Co. Militia War after the Civil War.)
