Wendell E. Fureigh 1978 Pine Bluff Commercial

  Wendell E. Fureigh, 48 of 3904 Robinhood Lane, died Monday evening en
route to Jefferson Hospital after suddenly becoming ill at his home.  
He died of an aortic aneurysm. 
  He was vice prsident and general manager of Haverty Furniture Company 
in Pine Bluff.  He was a member and elder of the Hazel Street Church of
Christ, and a member of the President's Development Council of Harding
University at Searcy.
  He graduated from Little Rock Central High School.  He also graduated
from Little Rock University (Now the University of Arkansas at Little
Rock), with a degree in busines administration. He served in the Air Force 
during the Korean War.
  He was born Jan. 7, 1932, at Quitman, son of Mrs Mildred Tapley 
Chambers Fureigh of Greenbriar and the late Jerry Fureigh.
  Other survivors include his wife, Beulah Mae Baldwin Fureigh, whom he
married December 25, 1951, in Little Rock; a son, Michael Lorn Fureigh 
of Memphis; two daughters, Mrs Danny west and Melanie Dawn Fureigh, both 
of Pine Bluff; three brothers, Ray W. Fureigh and Allon Fureigh, both of
Little Rock, and David Fureigh of Salt Lake City'; and three grandchildren.
  Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thurday at Hazel Street 
Church of Christ, 4015 Hazel St, by Cleon Lyles and Charles A. Yaerger.  
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Mortuary.
