Mrs. L. Brookshire, Native of Jeffco

Mrs. Lena Brookshire, 75. of 820 Nebraska, died to day at 7 a. m. at Jefferson 
Hospital.

The native of Tamo [Jefferson Co.] was born Dec. 20, 1886, daughter of the late 
Will R. and Fanny Whitten Brooks.

She attended Jefferson County schools and was married Nov. 8, 1911 to J. A. 
Brookshire.  Mr. Brookshire died Nov. 8, 1945.

She was a life member of the Women's Society of Christian Service and the 
Pricilla Prayer Group of Car Memorial Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Hubert D. Brookshire, of Bridgeport, Conn. and 
William H. Brookshire of Pine Bluff; seven daughters, Emma, Ella, and Ollie 
Brookshire, of Pine Bluff, Mrs. J. E. Wooley (Sallie), Mrs. J. J. Willis 
(Ellen) and Mrs. D. H. Cheshier (Julia) of Pine Bluff, and Mrs. Cecil Payne 
(Grace) of Pawhuska, Okla.; one stepson, Walter A. Brookshire of Fort Worth, 
Tex.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. N. O. (Malinda) Browning of Pine Bluff; 11 
grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by South Funeral Home.
