MRS. NETTIE SLOAN

Mrs. Nettie Sloan age 81 died at her home on  Morris Ave. Thursday after a 
lengthy illness. She was born at Hickory Ridge on 11-4-1871 and had lived in 
Newport for the past 15yrs. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband T.W. Sloan, 2 sons Fred Parker of Arizona and Ben 
Parker of Newport. 2 daughters Mrs. Sally Penn and Mrs. Eva Smith of Balch and 
several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Newport Funeral Home Chapel by T.H. Sherrill, 
minister of Church of Christ at 2:00 Saturday afternoon.
 
Burial at Swifton Cemetery by Newport Funeral Home.
