William Mount Parker

W.M. Parker 84 of Newport died in local hospital Saturday. William Mount Parker, 
84 of Morris Addition, Newport died at a local hospital Saturday night following 
an extended  illness. Born in Tennessee he came to Arkansas at an early age. He 
was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include a
daughter Mrs. Evie Smith of Balch and a half brother Amber Hicks of 
Beedeville. 26 grandcchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 4 great great 
grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Newport Funeral Home  Chapel at 2:00, 
Monday afternoon by Rev. Henry Doyle, Baptist minister. Burial was in the
Swifton Cemetery by Newport Funeral Home.
  
Pallbearers were Dale Gilliaum, Jack Parker, Sonny Parker, Ben Parker Jr.,
and W.A. Wilson.
