Mrs. Cora Alberta Carter
Mrs. Alberta Carter, 71 died at her home in Gray's Addition, Saturday
afternoon, after a long illness.
She was born at Stegall, Dec 14, 1884. the daughter of the late Mary
Darden Stegall and Perry P. Stegall. She was married to Frank Carter 
on April 1907.
Mrs. Carter was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a diligent
worker in the church until her health forced her to become less active,
she was a member of the Rebecca Auxillary.
Survivors include, her husband Frank Carter; one aunt, Mrs. Leon Darden
of Jonesboro, and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Sunday at the First Baptist Church by Pastor, Rev. 
C. P. Wilkins, assisted by T. H. Sherrill, minister of the Church of 
Christ.
Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Leach-Rogers
Funeral Home.
Pallbears were Mrs. Carter's nephews, Presley Stegall, Eddie Dennis,
Adolph Lillard, George Roberts, Sterling Layton, and Willard Layton.
