"HOWARD CEMETERY
by Mildred Minor Gregory and Azy Burlison"

"Also known as the Scott Cemetery, this cemetery is located in the
central western part of the NE 1/4 of Section 21, Twp. 12 N., Range 3
West, south of the railroad. It is east of Reamy and west of the
Robinson Cemetery. Richard and Harriet Scott were Negroes, as were most
of the persons memorialized by the remaining stones in the cemetery.
The Howard family, which gave the cemetery its name, was white, as was
the Gallagher family, whose children were buried there in 1854 and 1856.
This Inventory was prepared 28 Mar 1976 by Mildred Minor Gregory and Azy
Burlison."
