[Update 13 Jan 2003 - Rita Grigsby visited Burgess Cemetery on 12 Jan
2003 and reported that the cemetery has been abandoned and is in
deplorable shape. Fallen tree limbs and leaves cover the ground. Most
of the markers lay on the ground. Because of the poor condition of the
cemetery, a complete inventory could not be done, but Rita was able to
verify the entry for Lula FIVECOAT (now corrected above), and she found
an additional marker not listed in the original inventory:

BROWNFIELD, Steller (14 Feb 1890 - 19 Jul 1916) dau. of Dr. & Mary
      SHELLEY

Burgess Cemetery is not accessible by road, so the cemetery would be
extremely difficult to visit during the farming season. - Mark
