BOARD CEMETERY

"In 1969, Elizabeth Gregg Patterson of Ann Arbor, Michigan, moved the
stones marking the graves of her great-grandparents, Christopher Willis
and Elizabeth Ann (Jones) Board, from the long-neglected Board Cemetery
at Old Elgin on [the] Black River to Walnut Grove Cemetery in Newport.
The two markers were placed on the Thomas James Watson lot in Walnut
Grove. (Watson's wife, Elizabeth Board Watson, was Col. and Mrs.
Board's daughter, and grandmother of Elizabeth Patterson."
