BONNERDALE-  Herbert Lee Albright, 90 of Bonnerdale died Thursday, Aug.
28,1997, in a Hot Springs hospital.
Born Nov. 23, 1906, in Wakeman, Ohio, to William and Maude Coon Albright,
he was a retired factory worker and member of Seventh-day Adventist
Church in Bonnerdale.
He was predeceased by three wives, Dorothy Ile, Grace Huffakerand Velma
Scofield, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include two sons, Warren Albright of Bonnerdale and Stephen
Albright of Morrison, Tenn.;  three daughters, Dorothy Esther Bresee of
Souderton, Pa., Shirley King of Aiken, S.C., and Carol Streit of Chicago;
one sister, Alta Snyder of New London, Ohio;  11 grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren.
Services will be  at 3 p.m. today in the Bonnerdale Seventh-day Adventist
Cemetery with Elders Woody Larson and Gary Manzella officiating.
Pallbearers will be Elton Weatherford, Phillip Wagner, Paul Cox, Jerry
Mooney, Mike Mooney and Denny Jester.
Honorary pallbearers are Chuck Lybarger, J.D. Davis, Charlie Meade, Dude

Survivors include his wife, Betty Brown of Hot Springs Village; two sons,
Jan Brown and wife Kimberly of Grand Junction, Colo., and Patrick Brown
of Fayetteville;  two daughters, Judy Green of Hot Springs Village and
Jeannie Goodman of Denver, Colo., one brother, Ernest O. Brown of Vale,
Colo., and four grandchildren.
The body will be cremated.

died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997, in a nursing home.
Born July 3, 1918, she was Baptist.  She was predeceased by her husband,

Survivors include two sons, Edgar Crawley of Arkadephia and Lawrence

Royal, Arkansas Jewel Irene Hicks, 71, of Royal died Tuesday, Aug. 26,
1997, in a local hospital.
Born April 8, 1926, in Shamrock, Okla., she was a member of Crystal
Springs Church of Christ, a retired office manager for Abilities
Unlimited, benefits coordinator for Children, Arkadelphia Human
Development Center, and worked in the U.S. War Bond Office in World War
II.  She was predeceased by a son, Denton Hicks.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Cory and Gary D. Pope of
Royal and Kim and Cleve Hughes of Mena;  one granddaughter, Cary Pope of
Royal;  and two grandsons, Adam Hughes and Matt Hughes, both of Mena.

Christ with Ed Coffman and All Qualman officiating.

husband, A.F. "Jack" Jennings and two sisters, Johnnie Porter and Bill
McCrary.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ship and Jinnifre Jennings
of Hot Springs;  two sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy and Jerry Reed
and Jimmie and Glenn Ellis, all of Hot Springs;  a grandson, Kyle
Jennings of Hot Springs;  a granddaughter, Kirby Jennings of Hot Springs;
nieces; and nephews.
Services will be 4:30 p.m. today at Latimer Funeral Home chapel in
Nashville with Dr. Chuck McAlister officiating.

Born Jan 16, 1908, in Shreveport, La., he was a lin-type operator, World
War II U. S. Navy veteran and member, American Legion.
Survivors include a son Jerry Rothman of Arkadelphia;  three brothers,
Ralph Rothman of Hot Springs, Walter Rothman of Texas and Eddie Rothman
of Washington, D. C.;  a sister, Helen Bias of HotSprings;  and a
grandson, Lewis Kelly Rhendl.

Winnifred "Winnie" Bailey, 95, of Hot Springs died Sunday, Aug. 31, 1997,
in a Hot Springs nursing home.
Born April 18, 1902, in Chippewa Falls, Wis., she was a Methodist. She
was predeceased by her husband, Martin J. Bailey; seven brothers and
sisters.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, James M. and Diana Bailey
of St. Simons Island, Ga.; one daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Denny
Dodson of Hot Springs; two grandchildren, Thomas J. Bailey of Houston and
Terry Billups of Dallas; and six great grandchildren, Tommy Bailey,
Amanda Bailey, Patrick Bailey, Andrew Bailey, Michael Bailey and Cathrine
Ann Bailey, all of Houston.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Caruth-Hale Funeral Home chapel with
the Rev. Carness Baughan officiating.
The body will be cremated.

CHARLES N. BROCK JR.
St. Joseph, Mo. Charles N. Brock Jr., 76 of St. Joseph, Mo. and formerly
of Hot Springs Village, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997, in Douglas, Mich.
Born June 23, 1921, in Rochester, N.Y., he was a sales manager for Nid-
America Dairymen of Springfield, Mo., an employee of Getchell Lanundry,
Dugdale Packing Company and St. Joseph Packaging, a member of Elk's Club
No. 49, a mason, a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam and the
Missouri Air National Guard. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles
N. and Rachel Northrup Brock Sr.; and two sisters, Elinor Brock Cummings
and Marilyn Bartlett.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia B. Barlett Brock; two sons, Charles
M. Brock III and A. Barlett Braock of St. Joseph; one daughter, Kathryn
B. Wallace of Kansas City, No.; four grandchildren; one great grandson;
one niece and two nephews.
The body will be cremated.

Helena, Arkansas Vincent A. Coco, 84 of Helena died Saturday, Aug. 30,
1997, in Helena.
Born Sept. 1912, to Rosario and Giovanni Coco, he was a salesman for
Goldcrest Brewing Co. of Memphis, a distributor of Anheuser-Busch
products in Eastern Arkansas and founder of the Coco Distributing Co. of
Helena.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Sam J. Coco, Joseph F. Coco and
Jimmy A. Coco.
Survivors include his wife, Yola Spiotta Coco; two daughters, Nona
Bennett of HotSprings and Dr. Katie Coco of Salt Lake City; two sons, Dr.
William Vincent Coco of New York City and Marty Coco of Hot springs;
three sisters, Sarah J. Coco and Mary C. Saia, both of Helena and Sister
Rita Mariaof Baton Rouge , La.; two brothers, Father Frank J. Coco of
Grand Coteau, La. and Brother Anthony S. Coco of Campinas, Brazil; and
six grandchildren.
A prayer vigil will be 7 p.m. today at Roller-Citizens Chapel. Services
will be 9 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Helena.

Hatfield, Bing Bennett and Joe Murphy.

the Purple Heart.
Survivors include his son, Phillip Hopkins of Dubuque, Iowa; two

Bobe Dene Tapp Sims, 73, of Hot Spings died Saturday, Aug. 30, 1997, in a
local hospital.
Born Feb. 29, 1924, she was a member of Tri-Lake Swingers and Arky Stars
Square Dance.
She was predeceased by her father Clifford Wiley Tapp, and her mother,
Annie Bell BcBride Tapp. She was a homemaker, and her husband of 49
years, Ernest A. "Shorty" Sims Jr., was the former owner of Sims Cigar
Store in Downtown Hot Springs.
Active in several community activities, Bobe was a leader in the Jones
School PTA, ESA Sorority, Entre Noux and Brownie Schouts of America. Many
children who participated in Scouting with Bobe as the Scout Leader grew
up with the skills of management, teamwork and loving commitment that she
so readily portrayed. Bobe also was a loyal volunteer for the Red Cross
and March of Dimes.
Bobe and Shorty were active in the Tri-Lakes Swingers, the Arky Stars and
the DeSoto Dancers square dance clubs.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two children, Helen Ann
Sims and son-in-law M. Glenn Newkirk of Raleigh, N.C. , and Paul Richard
Sims of Arkadelphia, Ark.
Honorary pallbearers are Richard Neal "Boots" Sims, Charles Tapp, John M.
Thornton, James M. Thornton, L. A. Vaught, state Sen. Bud Canada, Otis

Webb and Tyler Webb, both of Anoka, Minn.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thrusday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the
Rev. David Kingsley officiating.

He was born Dec. 1 1978, in New Orleans and live in Hot Springs for the
past eight years.

father, Ronald Barnes of Detroit; two brothers, Ezell Delaney and Ronald
Delaney, both of New Orleans, La.; a sister, Lisa Delaney Jordan and her
husband Albert; and two neices, Courtney and Nishika.
Services will be at a later date in New Orleans, La.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at the youth center on Rugg
Street.

Charlie Nichols Sr., 80,of hot Springs, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 1997, at
his home.
Born Feb. 5, 1917, in Malvern, to Cornelius and lucy Wingfield Nichols,
he was a machine operator retired from Chrysler Corp. and attended St.
mark Baptist Church.
He was predeceased by his wife, Winnie Nichols; two sons, Alexander
Nichols and Cecil Nichols; one brother, the Rev. A.L. Nichols; and two
sisters, Bernice Hiller and Mary Adams.
Survivors include one son, Charley Nichols Jr. of Detroit; two daughters-
in-law, Sandra Carolyn Nichols of Detroit and Cleara Nichols of Hot
Springs; one sister-in-law, Bennie J. Nichols White of Hot Springs; six
grandchildren, Roslyn Nichols, Cassandra Nichols, Dianne Nichols, Cecil
Nichols, Carlynn Nichols and Tracy Nichols, all of Detroit; great-
grandchildren, nieces; and nephews.
Arrangements will be announced by Page's Funeral Home.
The family will be at 117 Arkansas St.

Services for Orphia C. Padgett, 87, of Umpire who died Sunday, Aug. 31,
1997, will be 2 p.m. today at Umpire Community Church with Brother John
Henry Williams officiating.
Burial will be at Athens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Kirkpatrick, Weldon Lynch, Mike McMellon,
Ralph Bolding, Bob Manasco and John Bolding.
Honorary pallbearers are Walter Allison, Ernest Epperson, Seldon Parson,
Cecil Parson and O.D. Tipton.
Arrangements are by Davis-Smith Funeral Home of Glenwood.

Murfreesboro, Arkansas
Mona Jane Roberts, 92, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Amity, died Tuesday,
Spt. 2, 1997, in a local hospital.
Born March 13, 1905, in the Wall Creek community near Amity to Robert and
Texella Kellet Franks, she was a former cook at Amity Elementary School
and restaurants in the Amity and Glenwood areas and member of
Murfreesboro Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Robert W. Roberts of Mobile Ala.; one
daughter, Daisy Grant of Vallejo, Calif.; four grandchildren; six great-
grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Austin
Franks of Pine Pluff and Clifford Franks of Hope; nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Jones Cemetery at Amity.
