Leta Mae Miller, 79, of Hot Springs died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1993.
A resident of Hot Springs for 55 years, she was a homemaker and a member of 
Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Suzanne Humphreys, Janie Sitek and Nancy 
Humphreys, all of Hot Springs; four sisters, Elizabeth McClellan of Little 
Rock, Negie Davis of Hot Springs and Reba Reid and Bernice Hood, both of 
Sheridan; and five grandchildren, Mary Humphreys Gill, Kathy S. Humphreys, 
Richie Humphreys, Joy Humphreys and Jonathan Humphreys, all of Hot Springs.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Gross Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mel 
McClellan officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will be at 105 Vale.
Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church or Lakewood Convalescent Home.

DEMPSEY SORRELS
COLUMBUS, GEORGIA -- Services for Dempsey Jack Sorrels, 55, of Columbus, 
Georgia who died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 1993, will be at 3 p.m. today in Greenwood 
Cemetery with the Rev. Don Reeves officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery with military honors by Veterans of 
Foreign Wars Thaddeus H. Caraway Post 2278.

Leta Mae Miller, 79, of Hot Springs died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1993, in Hot Springs.
A resident of Hot Springs for 55 years, she was a homemaker and a member of

Miller.
Survivors include three daughters, Suzanne Humphreys, Janie Sitek and Nancy

Humphreys, Michael K. Davis and the staff of Lakewood Convalescent Home.

ARKADELPHIA -- Mae Daily Garner, 84, of Arkadelphia died Monday, Jan. 11, 1993, 
at a local nursing home.
A native of Dubach, Louisiana, she was a homemaker and a member of Dalark 
Baptist Church.  She was the widow of Henry J. Garner.
Survivors include one daughter, Vivian Burton of Arkadelphia; three sisters, 
Lydia Spence of Quincy, Washington, Decia McDonald of Holly Springs and Hester 
Stanfield of Arizona; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home Chapel with 
the Rev. Gary Turner officiating.
Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial.
Memorials may be made to Third Street Baptist Church in Arkadelphia.

Graveside services for J. B. Hazelwood, 57, of Hot Springs who died Monday, 
Jan. 11, 1993, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Crestview Cemetery with the Rev.

BENNNIE R. HUDSON
Bennie R. Hudson, 55, of Hot Springs died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1993, in Malvern.
A native of Pine Bluff; he was a resident of Hot Springs since 1975, a 
construction worker with American Cedar Co. for 10 years and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Clydene Hudson of Hot Springs; five sons, Dwayne 
Gordon and Jerry Dunn, both of Hot Springs, Bennie Hudson Jr. and Wesley 
Hudson, both of Pine Bluff, and Jeffrey Hudson of Louisville, Kentucky; five 
daughters, Ella Hudson of Minnesota, Paula Hudson of Louisville, Kentucky, 
Bennie Denise Hudson of California, Tammy Melvin of Louisiana, Terrie Selby of 
North Carolina and Tonia Davis of Hot Springs; his father, Sherman Hudson of 
Memphis, Tennessee; four sisters, Pearlene Hicks, Henrietta Rice and Ollie 
Washington, all of Hot Springs, and Willie Mae Lane of Malvern; four aunts, 
Ollie Riley of Hot Springs, Sarah Andrew of Oakland, California, and Selma 
Nelson and Clydee Howard, both of Las Vegas; 18 grandchildren; and three 
great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel with 
the Rev. Tommy Howard officiating.
Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

Services for Catherine Kaufman, 81, of Hot Springs who died Saturday, Jan. 9, 
1993, will be at 2 p.m. today at Memorial Gardens with the Rev. William B. 
McWha officiating.

ROBERT J. PRESLEY
SPARKMAN -- Robert J. Presley, 59, of Sparkman died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1993, in 
a Little Rock hospital.
He was born Aug. 16, 1933, in Malvern, to James Wesley and Eva Ward Presley.  
He was a retired aerospace engineer for McDonald-Douglas Corp. in Bellflower, 
California, and Air Force veteran and a member of Dalark Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Terry Presley of Bell Gardens, California; two 
daughters, Karen Sue McShane of Lakewood, California, and Beverly Jan Lyons of 
Moreno Valley, California; three brothers, Ralph Presley of El Dorado, Riley 
Presley of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Thomas Presley of Texarkana, Texas; 
three sisters, Laurine Langley and Evelyn Porter, both of Sparkman, and Marie 
Caddy of Arkadelphia; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home Chapel with 
the Rev. Paul Holt officiating.
Burial will be in Atchley Cemetery in Dalark under the direction of 
Murry-Ruggles funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.  Memorials may be made to the 
American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.

LITTLE ROCK	 -- Enid Mamie Baxley, 92, of Little Rock died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 
1993.
The widow of Lewis A. Baxley, she was a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist 
Church and a retired grocery store owner.
Survivors include three grandchildren; __________great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church with 
Dr. Paul Carter officiating.
Burial will be in McPhearson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Paul Baxley, Dale Moren, Steve Jones, Bill Gilmore, Ralph 
McDaniel and Howard Wells.
