EUNICE M. DRAKE

SHERIDAN -- Eunice Mayfield Drake, 80, of Sheridan, died Monday, Sept. 30, 
1991, in a Sheridan nursing home.

She was a retired licensed practical nurse from Jefferson Hospital, a member of 
First Baptist Church and the widow of Vaughn Drake.

Survivors include two sons, Thurman Lee Drake of Sheridan and Larry V. Drake of 
Mountain Pine; one brother, Quinton Mayfield of Fresno, California; one sister, 
Nona Johnstad of Stockton, California; five grandchildren; and two 
great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Buie Funeral Home Chapel in 
Sheridan.

Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery.

LILA B. DUNCAN

Services for Lila B. Duncan, 80, of Hot Springs, who died Sunday, Sept. 29, 
1991, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Gross Funeral home Chapel with 
the Revs. Charles Mays and Henry Applegate officiating.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Harold Hutzel, Gene Kilby, Roy Shuffield, Byron Avery, 
Lonnie Harris and Marvin Herron.

JAMES F. KING

Services for James F. King, 79, of Hot Springs who died Saturday, Sept. 28, 
1991, will be at 2 p.m. today in the Gross Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W. 
B. Clark officiating.

Burial will be in Morning Star Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be D. E. Sponsler, Bill Stachey, Terry Cameron, Richard 
Troffer, Dale Dubbs and Lloyd Bates.

MYRTIE V. MATTHEWS

MALVERN -- Myrtie Vesta Matthews, 88, of Brown Springs died Sunday, Sept. 29, 
1991, at her residence.

A native of Brown Springs, she was the daughter of Will P. Gray and Cora Riggan 
Gray. A homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. 
L. “Dutch” Matthews, and a son, , and a W. J. Matthews.

Survivors include three sons, Billy Joe Matthews of Texarkana and Eugene 
Matthews and Melvin Matthews, both of Bismarck; four daughters, Marcille Ward 
of Camden, Ann Morris of Kilgore, Texas, Helen Wheaton of Brown Springs and 
Doris Word of Camden; three brothers, Lafayette Gray, Leston Gray and Preston 
Gray, all of Brown Springs; a sister, Nettie Voss of Camden; 19 grandchildren; 
and 32 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel with the 
Rev. Hollis McDermott officiating.

Burial will be in Ouachita Cemetery near Donaldson.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

ARVEL E. TRAMMEL

ARKADELPHIA -- Arvel E. Trammel, 68, of Bismarck died Monday, Sept. 30, 1991, 
in a Little Rock medical center.

A native of Alpine, h e was the son of Isaac “Ike” and Edna Fagan Trammel, a 
wood worker and Pentecostal.

Survivors include his wife, Lorene Trammel; four sons, Eugene Trammel of 
Malvern, Eddie Trammel and Harold Trammel, both of Bismarck; two daughters, 
Edna Francis of Arkadelphia and Phyllis Cook of Okolona; a brother, Doyle 
Trammel of El Paso, Texas; a sister, Betty Stafford of Donaldson; 12 
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home Chapel 
with the Revs. James Robertson and Van Glidewell officiating.

Burial will be in Jones Cemetery near Amity.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Pallbearers will be Carl Burris, David Shaw, David Stafford, Marion Skinner, 
David Hartsell, and Rex Teague.
